Sharon Burrall is a retired educator of 33 years. During that time, she was a choral director on the elementary and secondary levels. She holds certifications in both instrumental and vocal music. Sharon has taught general music to students in grades K-8, as well as Guitar at the high school level.
In addition to being an educator, she also served as pianist and choir director at several area churches. She continues to perform as a flutist and enjoy playing alto and bass flutes.
Dr. Rod Martin is the esteemed Assistant Principal at Little Rock Central High School and Vice President of the Creative Talent Council in Little Rock, AR. With over 36 years of experience in education, Dr. Martin has significantly impacted numerous school districts, emphasizing collaborative environments that foster student, teacher, and parental growth.
His educational career began with a passion for the arts, studying vocal music under the guidance of Mr. Robert L. Brack and later excelling as a band director for middle and high schools. Dr. Martin is committed to modeling exemplary behavior and high expectations, creating safe, expressive spaces for students, and facilitating parental and teacher involvement to optimize educational outcomes.
Beyond his administrative roles,
Dr. Martin is an avid jazz musician and trumpet player, performing with local bands and delighting audiences with his musical talent. His leadership in the Creative Talent Council highlights his dedication to promoting creative excellence within his community.
Dr. Stephen Wiggins Christian is pastor of Bountiful Blessings World Fellowship in Little Rock, Arkansas. He has been in ministry for almost 30 years. He holds a Bachelors of Professional Studies in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. Dr. Christian received a Masters of Biblical Studies and a Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Counseling from the Institute for Teaching God’s Word Theological Seminary in Rockdale, Texas. He was an instructor of Biblical Studies for five years at the Exodus School of the Bible in Cleveland, Mississippi.
Dr. Christian is a gifted speaker, accomplished musician, a published author, and a national recording artist. His book “A Will in the Middle Of the Will” was published by Zulon Press. “Call Me Christian”, his most recent CD, was distributed nationally and internationally by Warner/Electra/Arista Records. Dr. Christian was recently selected as the Arkansas Stop the Violence "Pastor of the Year" for his service to the community.
Mrs. Masako Christian is a distinguished educator with 26 years of dedicated service in the Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD). Holding advanced credentials in Mass Communications, Literacy, and Educational Leadership, Masako is honored to contribute her deep-rooted passion for education and her love for children to the thriving community of Daisy Bates Elementary.
As a fervent believer in the inherent greatness within all individuals, Masako has committed herself to the school’s mission: Elevating the Excellence and Greatness of every child. Under her leadership, Daisy Bates Elementary prioritizes systems that enhance student achievement, bridge educational gaps, foster self-efficacy, and build strong, impactful relationships. Her goal is to empower future leaders who will positively influence cultures and communities worldwide.
Raven Washington is a special education teacher at Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD). She has over 20 years of experience as an educator at various levels. Raven earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, Special Education (K-12) from Arkansas State University; Master of Education from Concordia University-Portland; and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Philander Smith University.
Mrs. Carolyn Foreman retired as the Director of Choirs at Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School in 2020. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and earned a Master’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Central Arkansas. Under the direction of Mrs. Foreman, Parkview’s choirs have performed for former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, have shared the stage with Heather Headley, and have collaborated with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for numerous performances; furthermore, Parkview performs as the featured choir each year for the Clinton Presidential Center’s Black History Program.
Her choirs consistently earned "Superior” ratings at Arkansas choral assessments, and her peers recognized her for her teaching endeavors. The Arkansas Choral Directors’ Association has awarded her the “Central Region Director of the Year” award, was selected as the Little Rock School District teacher of the year, and received several superintendent citation awards. Mrs. Foreman consistently placed numerous singers in the Arkansas All-Region and All-State choirs. Many of her former students have gone on to receive degrees in music.
In addition to her duties at Parkview, Mrs. Foreman directed the UA Little Rock Gospel Chorale until 2018 and remains active in her church as the minister of music.
